Hello, my name is Maikel Berendsen and I recently joined SSEB as a Sales Engineer. In this role, I will focus on improving sales processes and New Business Development. In addition, I will also be involved in the company’s marketing activities.

Following my studies Automotive Technology and Business Administration I gained practical experience at Tegema and Fokker Landing Gear. I started as a Mechanical Engineer with Tegema, and worked on a project for and at VDL Bus & Coach. At Fokker Landing Gear, I worked my way up from various (engineering) positions to Program Lead. In this latter role I was responsible for the Apache, Dash-8 and F-35 LG programs, representing our customers Boeing and UTC Aerospace Systems within the company.

After having worked in a large company for six years, I joined SSEB in May of this year. For my next challenge, I was looking for a small and ambitious company with room for growth, both for myself and the company. Eventually I wholeheartedly accepted this challenge at SSEB. Ever since it was set up in 2010, SSEB has been growing; I am pleased to have become a part of it.

In addition to my work I enjoy sports. I actively played soccer in the selection for years, but nowadays I play recreative soccer with friends in a senior team. I also try to take the time to mountainbike or run. And I enjoy good food and drinks with friends.
