At the request of a German company SSEB developed a reinforcement rail (Side Rail Inner MID) for its customer Gestamp.

Automotive engineering 
First step was the development of a method plan. This product shows considerable over-springing and therefore had to be over-formed. Following over-forming Autoform was used to check the impact on the product. The result turned out to be good and the over-forming was incorporated in the progressive tool.

The product is made in nine stages. SSEB completely constructed the progressive transfer tool, including the transfer system, which ensures the products are transferred from one stage to the next.
