Project description:
This customer specializes in the development, testing and building of vehicle modifications. For this customer, SSEB developed an improved taxi seat.

Automotive engineering
The customer asked a cheaper, stronger and safer taxi seat and a more attractive design. In this extensive project, SSEB deployed its expertise to achieve an innovative result.

The taxi seat in question consisted of approximately 150 different parts. SSEB reduced this number to 35. Several sheet metal parts were combined into one deep drawn product and the parts were put together in a welding mold. This not only made the seat cheaper, but stronger and safer as well.

Assembly was outsourced to SSEB Systems. In addition, SSEB outsourced part of the production for the final customer.
