The customer specializes in, among other things, sheet tooling, and makes both final products and (technical) components. The customer was working on the construction of a large screen. The screen was intended for a festival; the final customer was a Danish festival organization.

FEM calculation
SSEB was asked to do a FEM calculation for the construction of the screen. FEM (Finite Element Method) is an analysis and strength calculation tool, also known as DEA (Finite Element Analysis).

In this particular case, SSEB calculated the wind force the screen would be able to withstand. Based on the FEM calculation, the customer could be advised.
