3D printing metal parts stainless-steel teapot

Customer: This customer specializes in interior and furniture design.

Applied expertise: 3D metal printing

Project description:
This customer specializes in interior and furniture design. Their question to SSEB concerned 3D printing of three parts of a design teapot.

3D printing metal or conventional?
For every request, SSEB determines the best way to manufacture the parts. Sometimes this will be 3D printing; in other cases, the conventional way is more (cost) effective. In this case, conventional production methods were preferred for two of the three parts. These two parts were set out and realized within our network.

The third part of the design teapot was 3D printed, using stainless steel 1.4404. To achieve a shiny surface, the parts were also electropolished.
